Find the right tire and then bring the harder and softer and then require the teams to use both, that sucks like ending the qualifying lap with the last to pass the checkers at 0 instead of the last to pass the start at 0. Then there is the 5 second a lap speed disparity that caused the BMW red bull crash.
Fisi bad cars? What about the Renault that Alonso won two championships with? Fisi is highly overrated just like Button and Reubens will dominate him regularly.
Maybe F1 should do a figure 8 race or a demolition derby you know a wild card smash up to go with the winner take all championship. I think they tinker with the rules to much but the show is usually exciting.
He is better than Handsome Bob, I mean Jenson Button.
I AM SURE HE COSTS MUCH LESS THAN BUTTON AND HE IS A BETTER DRIVER SO IT SHOULD BE NO REAL SUPRISE...
Viva Rubino!
The real problem will be if F1 does catch on in the USA. You will have again awoken the sleeping giant. Lets face it, technologically speaking no one can effectively compete with the USA. Compared to the technological might of the USA the whole world is a backmarker whose best hope for relative success would be to get the USA's castoffs. Nothing to worry about, however, F1 is not big in the USA because it is big elsewhere, look at American soccer, third rate at best because we don't care about it, not because it is a bad game but because it is not our game. We have our own football. Baseball is the same, it is very popular in some other places but it is an American game. I used to roadrace motorcycles, which is not very popular in the USA. Flattrack and now supercross are our two wheeled sports, do you see how this works now?
Button sucks!
In outright skill Kimi may very well be the best, but I think his goal was to be world champion, and he did that. Now it appears that he has not been able to re-motivate himself, we will know for sure after a few races; but if is not motivated than he should not be driving for Ferrari, I would rather see a Vettel or Kubica super motivated type really push for the best possible results.
The way Alonso cost McLaren the world championship in 2007 should give any team pause before hiring him even if he is fantastic. There are other drivers like Vettel and Kubica who are probably as good. I expect Kimi will either be brilliant and win another championship or lackluster, either way I think 2009 will be his last year in F1.
What about Danica Patrick? She was rumored to get a Honda test, that wont happen now, but she is fast and she did win an Indy race and she does weigh 93 pounds, All that weight Kubica lost is nothing, oh and she is smoking hot.
The cream always rises to the top, think of all the great drivers that never really broke out, Weber is one of them.
We know it wont be GM or Ford
Montoya is smart, he has nothing to prove. He is one of the best in the world, as much talent as Vettel or Alonso, or Raikkonen. Life is short and it is better to be happy than be F1 world champ which is half luck.
If Rossi is looking for motor sport immortality he needs to go the way of Mike Hailwood and the and the undisputed master John Surtees, the only F1 and GP champion.
I agree Button is no match for Barrichello, but who will be the other driver? Fernando?
Fisi is a dog, they should hire Klein or Reubens or both.
Keeping Button over Rubens ?!? Insane, but I am not sure Heidfeld is much better, he require being pushed like Fisi, where as Kubica, Hamilton, Masa, Alonso and I must say Vettel seem to have an internal drive, like a sled dog, they pull all the time.
As a former racer, when I saw this unfold I knew there would be problems. Yes, Kimi ran him wide that's how it's done, you either let off, run wide, or crash, but your not going past - its called racing. Kimi had the dominant track position he gets to choose where he drives, and it is the responsibility of the overtaking driver to complete the pass safely. When Louis cut the chicane after being run wide and gained the position I knew he would let him past but the way in which he did was meaningless. It was obvious that he had gained an advantage, not so much over Kimi down the next straight, but relative to having not tried the move that saw him run wide to begin with, namely staying behind Kimi because he could not pass correctly.
I am with you Abbey, lucky for BMW. Alonso will never win another F1 title after the stupid things he did at Mclaren anyone capable of winning a championship wont want him. You are right Chick, by the time Ferrari have a seat Alonso wont be in the running anymore, if he ever was.
Alonso wont go to BMW with Kubica because Kubica wont and should not be a #2 driver. I think the same with Mclaren Kubica wont go there and be #2 to Hamilton. Alonso should gho to Toro Roso with an agreement for full spec Ferrari motors. Ultimately I think Ferrari want Vettel and rightly nothing to do with Alonso.
Ferrari is the right place for Alonso with a definate #2 driver. Alonso wont go to BMW unless they drop Kubica, and lets hope they are not that dumb. Honda sucks to bad and would be a waste, might as well go to Force India. I think he will stay with Renault, but it would be fun to see him at Torro Rosso.

Wow! Hammy quits Mclaren Red Bull retires Weber(he will never win a race anyway)and Red Bull then have the best driver team and a great car. Even more scintillating if he goes to Brawn and Reubens gets the boot. Toyota would be another interesting destination.
