Ferrari unveil 'aggressive' F2012

With heavy snow cancelling their on-track unveiling, Ferrari launched their F2012 online on Friday and first thoughts are: at least it's red.

Ferrari have been known to launch some lookers in the past with both their F1 and road cars known for being sleek and sexy.

This year's F2012 is anything but.

The new car features the boxer nose of the Caterham, however, in Ferrari's case it looks as if it's been chopped off.

Looks, though, are not the point of a Formula One, pace is and Ferrari are hoping their F2012 has just that.

"I am sure our car will be winning right from the beginning," said team boss Stefano Domenicali.

"We have learned many lessons from the past, and taken some difficult decisions. But I am sure all our efforts will be represented with this car.

"From a technical point of view, we have many novelties in terms of mechanics and also the shape of the car.

"[But] we wanted some continuity here, and hopefully we will reach the right performance.

"We have only 12 days to work on the car and achieve reliability, and also test the new tyres that have been given to us by Pirelli."

Felipe Massa, giving his verdict on the team's new challenger, said: "It looks really, really aggressive.

"This is something that was part of my dreams ... I really trust the team and the new car."
