Dallara eager to tackle 'fascinating' F1 challengeFriday 3rd July 2009Car builders Dallara are eagerly awaiting their return to F1 with the new Campos team, saying building a F1 car will be a "fascinating challenge."
Next year's Championship will see the Campos team join the F1 grid as one of three new entries. The Spanish outfit, though, will not be designing their own car, having called in Dallara for that challenge.
"I've accepted this opportunity with enthusiasm," Gian Paolo Dallara, the man behind the Dallara company, told the Gazzetta dello Sport newspaper.
"It's scary, but it's exciting for me and for my entire company, because this is a fascinating challenge that tests energy and creativity.
"We've been working for three months already. We want to have the car running around 10 January - let's hope it's quick, both for the sake of Campos and for us!"
Dallara added that he believes within his company he has the personnel needed to build Campos a car that is capable of competing at the highest level.
"We have strong people with fresh experiences such Gabriele Tredozi, who for years was the technical head at Minardi, and like Ben Agathangelou, aerodynamicist for Red Bull and Ross Brawn's Honda. And then there are our people, all of them good," he said.
