Christian Horner is confident that Red Bull, together with engine partner Renault, will find a solution to their KERS problems before the new season.
Next year's Championship will see the introduction of the Kinetic Energy Recovery System (KERS) despite some teams requesting a delay.
However, given that three outfits, BMW, Honda and Williams, said no to a postponement, F1 looks set to use KERS next season.
KERS, though, has proven problematic in early testing with the Red Bull factory recently having to be evacuated when smoke came pouring out of a battery while a BMW mechanic landed up in hospital when he touched a car fitted with the system.
But despite the issues Red Bull team boss Horner is confident his outfit will, together with Renault, find a solution.
"We're working with Renault with a large part of (the KERS unit) but some elements we are doing by ourselves," he told Setanta Ireland.
"It's interesting technology - it's cutting edge and it's throwing up a few problems at the moment but we're obviously working hard to get those sorted."
