The BMW mechanic injured in the Kinetic Energy Recovery System (KERS) test at Jerez on Tuesday has been released from hospital.
The unnamed mechanic was injured when he touched a test car, which was fitted with KERS, sustaining injuries to his left hand and grazing on his left arm.
Although he was initially given the all-clear by a local hospital, he returned later on Tuesday complaining of dizzy spells.
The mechanic was kept in hospital overnight for further tests and discharged late Wednesday.
"The mechanic who was involved in the KERS incident underwent additional medical tests in the Jerez hospital last night and today," the team said in a statement on Wednesday evening.
"He was subsequently released by the doctors who were happy with the results of their tests. The mechanic is on his way back to Switzerland this evening."
