Sir Frank Williams has questioned whether F1's move from Silverstone to Donington Park will ever go ahead, citing costs as the main cause for concern.
Earlier this month at the British GP, F1 supremo Bernie Ecclestone made the shock announcement that F1 would be leaving Silverstone at the end of next season and heading to Donington Park in a ten-year deal.
However, it was also revealed that the deal was dependent on Donington undergoing a £100million facelift over the next five years.
And that's where Sir Frank reckons there could be a problem because as yet the track has no even received planning permission for the various upgrades need to the venue and the surrounding roads.
"When I'm at Donington in 2010, if I'm really there I'll believe it, but I'm not certain," the team owner told Williams's official podcast.
"I'm sure they can do all the things they must to get the circuit ready in time - two years is a lot of time with which to achieve it - but it will be immensely expensive.
"I don"t know much about Silverstone's affairs but I would guess it is a much more expensive project than the one Silverstone are required to do, if they wish to retain the Grand Prix.
"I will just find out in course where we are supposed to be."
