Fernando Alonso has denied claims that he is set to announce his 2009 team when the F1 circus heads to Monza for next weekend's Italian GP.
Alonso's future plans are one of the hot topics at present as many expect the double World Champion to leave Renault at the end of the season with Honda his most likely destination.
However, the Spaniard's future will remain a mystery for a while longer as he admits he has yet to come a decision.
"No," Alonso told Autosport when asked if a Monza announcement was pending. "Soon I will decide what I do next year, but there is not a fixed day."
Alonso also denied reports that he had discussed his future with Ferrari President Luca di Montezemolo after the two were spotted in conversation at last week's Monza test.
"I was in my helmet and going into the car so we spoke for five seconds," said Alonso. "How are you? OK. How are you? OK. And nothing more!"
