Fernando Alonso paid his first visit to Ferrari's Maranello factory on Friday as the Spaniard gears up for his first season with the Italian marque.
The double World Champion, who is not yet an official member of Ferrari given his contractual commitments which still tie him to Renault and his sponsors, arrived at Maranello early Friday morning.
The Spaniard first met with team boss Stefano Domenicali before heading off to chat with the engineers about next season's car, his seat fitting, a visit to the windtunnel and a meeting with Ferrari President Luca di Montezemolo.
And although he's not yet permitted to drive a Ferrari F1 car, Alonso had the chance to put Ferrari 458 Italia road car through its paces around the team's private Fiorano test track.

"i think they will come together nicely. More to do with the fact that Massa is such a good team man to have"

"Even if they completely dominate next year (which I'm feeling is likely) it'll be great fun to watch a machine like the Scuderia working so perfectly. But that said, does anyone think Alonso and Massa will mesh without some drama? I think there'll be sparks, and it won't be from good chemistry."

"Ferrariman... how can you say Alonso is a great driver, he is a liability, look at his relationship with McLaren, he wanted No 1 status or he would go to the FIA with evidence about McLaren's cheating, then he goes back to Renault, and there is crashgate!!! What is in line for Ferrari now?? if i were anything to do with Ferrari i would be gravely concerned at the damage that this driver is going to do to the team!! although i suppose with Jean Todt at the Helm of the FIA there will be plenty of back up for them!"
