Giancarlo Fisichella is gearing up for his milestone 200th GP start at next weekend's Monaco GP but the Roman insists he still feels "young."
Fisichella's made his F1 debut with Minardi in Australia back in March 1996. Since then he has raced for Jordan, Benetton, Renault and Force India, clinching three pole positions and three wins along the way.
The Roman is now preparing for his 200th grand prix start, which he will achieve next weekend in Monaco, making him only the ninth driver in F1 history to reach the milestone.
But even though this year's Championship is his 13th in F1, the Force India driver reckons he's feeling no ill-effects from his prolonged stay.
"I still feel young, I still feel happy to work in F1, to be an F1 driver. The only problem is traveling around the world all the time," said Fisichella.
"But apart from that, I still enjoy F1. I wouldn't still be here if I didn't.
"I don't think I've changed much, but I hope I'm a better driver than when I started.
"I've learned quite a lot. How to manage the race, how to manage the qualifying session, and to put more attention on testing and talking with the engineers."
Fisichella will wear a new set of Alpinestars overalls and a helmet commissioned from Arai bearing a '200' logo when he drives in next weekend's race.
