Super Aguri will miss next week's testing in Barcelona due to uncertainty over its future.
The Japanese outfit was also forced to cancel the three-day pre-season test session at the Circuit de Catalunya earlier this year because of cash flow problems.
It was thought their financial difficulties were something of the past after the Magma Group announced it acquired the team just days before the first grand prix of the season in Australia.
However, according to Takuma Sato the deal is yet to be finalised, and the team will now be forced to take three-week break.
"The final agreement is not yet finished with the Magma Group, but hopefully it will happen very soon, and then we can press the button to start development," the Japanese driver said on his official website.
"So the next time I will drive will be in Friday practice for the Spanish Grand Prix."
